Rum mocktail in a glass mug garnished with clove a studded lemon slice

Warming and soothing, this rum mocktail is an indulgent medley of flavours and perfect as a nightcap. The layered sweetness and smokiness of the Ovant Royal, a non-alcoholic dark spirit, combines with the bold, full-flavoured tea, citrus and light sweet and spicy notes to round out the taste. Served warm, it has a brisk orange hue, and the addition of a clove-studded lemon wheel to garnish adds appeal.

INGREDIENTS
60ml Ovant Royal
60ml Black Ceylon Tea
15ml Lemon Juice
5ml Honey
5ml Cinnamon Syrup
Clove Studded Lemon Slice
METHOD
  1. Brew 200ml of Black Ceylon Tea to instructions.
  2. Add Ovant Royal, lemon juice, honey, cinnamon syrup and 60ml hot Black Ceylon tea into an empty mixing glass and stir gently.
  3. Pour contents into a tea cup or mule mug, and garnish with a clove studded lemon wheel.
  4. Serve warm.
NOTES
* add fresh ice cubes for a chilled version.
* For larger parties, multiply the recipe by 6 and keep the mixture warm in a medium-sized pot over low heat.
