What is non-alcoholic beer?

Non-alcoholic beer and low alcohol beer are broad descriptions for beer that contains 0.5% or less ABV (Alcohol by Volume). That's about the same amount of alcohol found in juice or kombucha. Zero-alcohol beer has become increasingly popular in the last few years and there are now numerous types available including sport beer, craft beer, gluten free beer and low calorie beer.

Is non-alcoholic beer healthy?

How many calories are there in beer?

Heineken is a great example, a 330ml bottle of full strength Heineken contains 139 calories, while the non-alcoholic Heineken beer calories are much lower at just 69 calories per 330ml bottle. At Sans Drinks, we follow the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) guidelines when categorising the products we sell as ‘low sugar’ and ‘low alcohol’.
