Classic Mai Tai Mocktail garnished with fresh pineapple and maraschino cherries

Created in the 1940’s at Trader Vic’s, one of the world’s first Tiki restaurants, the Mai Tai is an iconic blend of rum and tropical flavours. This version of the summer mocktail pairs Sans Bar Caribbean Getaway, a non-alcoholic spirit exhibiting the sweetness of rum and smokiness of whiskey, with Lyre’s Amaretti, displaying the almond-like flavours of traditional Amaretto. The medley of flavours is further enhanced by the distinct tang of citrus, sweetness of grenadine and fruitiness of the juice. Garnish with a Maraschino cherry and wedge of pineapple or orange.

INGREDIENTS
45 ml Sans Bar Caribbean Getaway
25 ml fresh lime juice
15 ml Lyre's Amaretti
15 ml grenadine
50 ml fresh pineapple or orange juice
To garnish: Maraschino cherries and wedge of orange to garnish
METHOD
  1. Add all the ingredients into a shaker along with a handful of ice cubes and shake well for 20 seconds.
  2. Strain the mix over ice and garnish with a Maraschino cherry and wedge of orange.
