Mocktail Recipes

Gin and tonic mocktail garnished with fresh samphire and a lemon peel twist

Gin and tonic was first invented by British officers in India, who had been prescribed tonic water containing quinine to treat malaria. The officers didn't like the bitter taste so took to adding water, sugar, lime and gin to make their medicine more palatable. Our gin mocktail version may not cure malaria, but it will quench your thirst on a hot day. Simply combine ingredients in a large glass with ice, and add samphire if available.
