Mocktail Recipes

Bottle of Lyre's White Cane Spirit next to a can of Lyre's Classico and an old cuban rum mocktail in a coupe glass

Created in the early 2000’s by famed NYC mixologist Audrey Saunders, the Old Cuban pays homage to the 1920’s Prohibition era, when American socialites flocked to Cuba to party. Considered a modern classic, this rum mocktail is a fusion of a mojito and a champagne cocktail. Wonderfully fresh and festive, it combines the flavours of white rum, lime, mint, and aromatic bitters with Lyre’s Classico, an alcohol-free version of a traditional crisp, dry Italian sparkling prosecco. Perfect for dinner parties, simply garnish with mint leaves and enjoy.

2 Parts (60mL/ 2 Fl Oz) Lyre's White Cane Spirit
½ Part (15mL/ ½ Fl Oz) lime juice
½ Part (15mL/ ½ Fl Oz) sugar syrup
8 mint leaves
2 dashes aromatic bitters
1 Part (30mL/ Fl Oz) Lyre's Classico

  1. Shake all ingredients except Lyre's Classico with ice. Fine strain into a cocktail coupette. Add Lyre's Classico slowly.
  2. Garnish with mint leaves
