The Gin Fizz is a classic New Orleans invention, and this gin mocktail combines the botanics of gin perfectly with the tart flavour of apples and lemon. The Lyre's Ameretti and Aperitif Dry, along with the maple syrup, add sweetness and bitterness in the perfect balance. Serve with rosemary and a slice of lemon or dried apple to create a sensory sensation.
INGREDIENTS
30 ml Lyre's Dry London Spirit30 ml Lyre's Amaretti
15 ml Lyre's Aperitif Dry
15 ml cloudy apple juice
20 ml lemon juice
7.5 ml maple syrup
METHOD
- Rapid shake with ice.
- Strain into a Highball glass with fresh cubed ice.
- Garnish with a Rosemary sprig, slice of lemon or piece of dried apple.
NOTES
A non-alcoholic version of the original Gin Fizz, possibly one of the oldest cocktails in the history of mixed drinks.
