The Best Non-alcoholic Drinks to Celebrate A Birthday

A birthday celebration is a great time to push the boat out - and there are plenty of alc-free options to get the celebrations off with a bang.

Whether you’re having birthday drinks at home or heading out on the town, these extra special non-alcoholic drinks will give your birthday the air of celebration it deserves.

Champagne is at the heart of any celebration – but why stop at a glass of alcohol free bubbles? To bring some extra fizz to your birthday, elevate a premium sparking wine by using it as the base of a very special cocktail.

Lets get the party started

Non-Alcoholic Champagne Cocktail

With literally hundreds of alcohol-free spirits on the market, you are spoilt for choice. You could add a sugar cube and a few drops of Angostura bitters for a classic Champagne cocktail or go French, by adding a dash for your favourite alcohol free gin.

But, if you really want to impress, I’d recommend a Grand Royal. Add Lyre’s Orange Sec (a wonderful zero-alcohol Triple Sec/Grand Marnier alternative) to a flute of alcohol-free sparkling wine and garnish with an orange twirl.

G&T

Gin has been having a bit of a moment. In fact, that moment has now been going for the best part of a decade. Gin has become so popular that a whole array of botanical twists have emerged – including many that are alcohol free.

For an extra special birthday G&T, try mixing your favourite zero-alcohol gin with a premium tonic such as Strangelove Dirty Tonic

[product name="strangelove-dirty-tonic"]

And to really elevate the occasion, add some striking colour and taste in the form of a Secco Infusion – these sachets of preserved botanicals will transform your G&T into a beverage worthy of a queen.

If you're looking for a pre-mixed G&T then I recommend Lyre's G&T ready to drink cans. It has all the classic notes of citrus, juniper and highly refreshing tonic, simply chill and pour and enjoy. Add to ice in a highball glass and add a slice of grapefruit or lemon peel and a sprig of rosemary.

Of course, if you want to mix your own G&Ts, you can't go past the Iconic Gordon's 0.0 - it tastes just like the original gin, with a smooth texture, and a complex flavour profile featuring bold juniper notes and a subtle hint of citrus.
