For lovers of a good Sparkling wine, this is such great news and I wanted to share with you some of Australia’s best wine makers and highlight their alcohol-free Sparkling wines (and wine alternatives) so you can make the right choice when it comes to ditching the booze.

Who are some of the biggest Australian non-alcoholic wine makers?

The pool of talent in the Australian alcohol-free sparkling wine industry is absolutely astounding, when it comes to all things wine, us Aussies really do it best! From big names to emerging brands, we’ve got some seriously good bevvies for off-the-wagon winos right here in our very own backyard. Here are just a few…

McGuigan Zero

The McGuigan name is highly regarded in the wine making game. For decades now, McGuigan have crafted some of the best wines, not only in Australia, but in the world. They noticed the rate at which people all across the globe were giving up the grog, so they set to work creating their McGuigan Zero range of non-alcoholic drinks, they say "McGuigan Zero provides consumers with freedom of choice" and we couldn't agree more.

Plus & Minus

This is a new player in the alcohol-free wine space, but Plus & Minus wine is super tasty with some seriously great health benefits. A lot of research has gone into ensuring these wines contain only the highest quality ingredients, minus the alcohol.

Imagine a wine with + the antioxidants but minus – the alcohol. That’s Plus & Minus, a revolutionary wine style that aims to give those that still want a glass of quality wine when they don’t actually feel like alcohol.

Edenvale

Edenvale have been making wine since 2006 and are Australia’s leading alcohol-removed wine brand. Their latest Premium Reserve range is a real game changer in this space.

Lindemans

Another Aussie brand that has been around forever (well, over 170 years but it seems like forever), Lindemans boasts some of the most delicious wines in the Aussie drinks market. They’ve won multiple awards for many of their products, for very good reason. They have a dedicated and longstanding winemaking team that is proud to craft a diverse portfolio of wines.

Newblood

Newblood don't currently make a sparkling, but still deserve a mention here because they are new non-alc wine Aussie brand and their Shiraz and Chardonnay are easily the best non-alcoholic options on the market.

Lyre's

Lyre's make a large range of non-alcoholic Spirits, and their Italian Spritz is the perfect alcohol-free alternative to Aperol, but with 24% less calories! Just add to your favourite sparkling wine for a non-alc Aperol Spritz!

Why is it important to support the Aussie alc-free wine industry?

It’s just the Aussie way, isn’t it? We all want to help our neighbours. We all trust our fellow Aussies to create quality products. We all want to make sure our local businesses have the support they need to succeed. The Australian non-alc wine industry needs our help! If we want to continue seeing innovation and quality from family-run businesses giving their all to bring us tasty alc-free beverages, we need to show them how much we love them.

This is the reason I choose to stock a HUGE range of Aussie made booze-free drinks on the Sans Drinks shelves. Supporting home-grown businesses, both small and large, is something I see immense value in, and I love being able to use my platform to help them keep doing what they do and supporting their livelihoods.

As mentioned above, Lindeman’s have made a name for themselves with their alcoholic range for years now! The addition of their alcohol-free range is such an awesome initiative as it promotes better access to healthier wine alternatives within the Aussie and global community.

This Sparkling is not overly sweet so if you’re typically a fan of drier fizz, this is the perfect celebratory Chardy Pinot blend for you. This wine is made from delicious wine grapes grown in the Hunter Valley in NSW, an area that is well known for its premium wine fruits.
