Five Lyre's Non-Alcoholic Spirits You Need To Try

Lyres Spirits were pioneers in the non-alcoholic drinks industry and set the bar high for their competitors. Since launching in 2019, they have introduced us to 16 non alcoholic spirits including their award winning Amaretti.

With so many options to choose from, it can be hard to know where to begin. In this guide, I’m going to tell you about my personal five favourites and the different ways that I serve them.

Lyre's Amaretti

[product name="lyres-amaretto"]

The product: An alcohol-free take on the classic Amaretto, this liqueur style drink has won numerous awards for Lyres including gold at the 2020 International Wine and Spirits competition and Silver at the San Francisco World Spirits competition.

The taste: This gem features everything you would expect from a traditional Saronno Amaretto; a warm mouthfeel, semi-sweet flavours of marzipan, caramel and almond and hints of maraschino.

Ways to drink it: I love to drink Lyres Amaretti on its own over ice - it makes a great after dinner drink. You can also use it to make the perfect alcohol free Amaretto Sour.

Try this: Lyre's Amaretti Sour

What customers are saying: “I love amaretto on ice and this is basically like the real thing! Couldn't tell the difference. Had it straight over ice and in an amaretto sour. Amazing!”

Lyres Pink London Spirit

[product name="lyres-pink-london-spirit"]

The product: Launched in 2021 and exclusive to Sans Drinks, this Pink Gin alternative is so good that 100 per cent of Sans Drinks reviewers say they would recommend it to a friend.

The taste: Featuring light floral flavours and notes of juniper, rose, cherry, and red berry, Lyre’s Pink London Spirit boasts a round, gin style finish.

Ways to drink it: Perfect with a StrangeLove tonic and a sprig of rosemary or as part of an instagram worthy pink mocktail.

Try this: Three ways with Lyre's Pink Gin

What customers are saying: “I'm a big fan of the Lyre's London Dry so I was keen to try this. It's delicious! A real depth of flavour and perfect for summer. Bring on the pink mocktails!”

Lyre's White Cane Spirit

[product name="lyres-white-cane-spirit"]

The product: A great alcohol free alternative to Bacardi, this non-alcoholic rum recently won Silver at the Melbourne International Wine and Spirits competition.

The taste: This authentic tasting rum alternative features notes of oak and sugar cane along with notes of marzipan, orange and coconut along with a subtle hint of pepper on the finish.

Ways to drink it: I love Lyres White Cane Spirit with a StrageLove hot ginger beer and a squeeze of fresh lime or as part of a classic rum mocktail.

Try this: Lyre's Passionfruit Pina Colada Mocktail

What customers are saying: “Most spirits from Lyres are wonderful, but this one would have to be the most versatile for cocktails - delicious in virgin mojitos and with any tropical flavours.”

Lyre's Agave Blanco Spirit

[product name="lyres-agave-blanco-spirit"]

The product: Launched in 2021, this tequila inspired spirit makes a wonderful addition to the Lyres Spirits range.

The taste: Featuring aromas of lemon, saline, agave, chamomile and pine Agave Blanco Spirit has a rich, full palate and a warm peppery finish.

Ways to drink it: This works really well in Margaria and Paloma mocktails, but a simple option that I can’t get enough of is a Agave Blanco Spirit with StrangeLove Salted White Grapefruit.

What customers are saying: “I mixed this with the Mr Consistent Margarita mix and a dash of extra lime juice over ice and it was close to the real thing. I tried it neat as well and it actually had that tequila ‘burn’. Will definitely buy it again!”

Lyre's Italian Orange

[product name="lyres-italian-orange"]

The product: Gold winner at the Beverage Testing Institute and silver medal winner at the 2020 London Spirits Competition, Lyre’s Italian Orange is the perfect alcohol free alternative to Campari.

The taste: With a rich mouthfeel, Italian Orange features flavours of blood orange and red citrus along with notes of Maraschino.

Ways to drink it: I love this with ice and soda, or as part of a Negroni mocktail.

Try this: Lyre's Negroni Mocktail

What customers are saying: “Great alternative to a Campari, a lot of orange flavour with slight bitterness. If you love a Campari spritz but don't want the alcohol, this is a great option.”
