I thought the Original was good, but the Unfiltered Clausthaler is truly great. Full bodied with hardly a hint of not being a full-strength beer. Makes drinking the alcoholic stuff almost superfluous.

I've had the Clausthaler Original before and saw great reviews of the Unfiltered. Finally got a chance to give it a try. This is not like the typical lager but more like an IPA indeed. Great fruity taste with just right bitterness. The Original tastes much sweeter than this so I prefer the Unfiltered. I will definitely have more of this.
After trying a range of non alcoholic beers I think this is the best tasting pf all!

Once again a great tasting alcohol free beer from Germany. Smooth and creamy mouth feel, reminiscent of the Erdinger alcohol free wheat beer. But wheat beer it isn’t. The label indicates it’s a barley based lager. Quite dry, pleasantly so.
Appearance: it’s quite hazy (being unfiltered). I have no problem with that, being a regular Coopers Pale drinker - when I’m drinking. I find the colour very unattractive. To my way of thinking it’s stranded somewhere south of a Dunkel or a Dark Ale (eg Coopers) but way north of a Pale Ale. This problem is easily fixed by drinking it straight from the bottle.

Plenty of hops but not overdone. Only 4* because I don't quite like it as much as the Kehrwieder, which really is a 5* beer to my taste as is the VandeStreek that is a little less hop driven
