The Noughty Rouge Shiraz is produced with Syrah grapes from the dryland vineyards in Darling, South Africa and aged for 12 months in French and American oak. The grapes are grown in strategically selected sites, which get the warm sun and cooling effect of the Atlantic Ocean. This is a well-balanced red wine that is deep ruby red in colour with notes of ripe red fruit, crushed black pepper and French oak tannins. It is also low in sugar and low in calories.

It's not my favourite red wine, but it hits the spot when I want a glass of red but need to stay alcohol free. It actually smells like a syrah. It tastes a bit more more like a lighter cabernet or merlot, but I'll take it.

This one was really good. Many non and low alcohol wines are too sweet and you get more a fruit juice than red wine taste. This one was missing that sweetness and the taste was very close to a nice red wine. I'd certainly have this one again.
