The story of the Gimlet is said to date back to the 17th century when British soldiers mixed lime with their grog to ward off scurvy. The name gimlet itself was a small tool used to top the spirit barrels on the ships. Tangy and sweet with a juniper gin aroma, this gin mocktail take on the original can definitely be sipped ocean-side or on your back deck. Best served in a Nick & Nora glass, with a sunken Maraschino cherry.
