Mocktail Recipes

Gin mocktail next to a bottle of Lyre's Dry London Spirit and a bottle of Lyre's Absinthe Sans Drinks

This gin mocktail is said to have originated at the Twenty-One Club in New York, but a long version was served over ice on the south side of Chicago during Prohibition, which is where it derives its name. This non alcoholic cocktail is a refreshing balance of sweet and sour with sugar syrup and lime juice perfectly complementing one another. Add a mint leaf or two for a refreshing zing.

INGREDIENTS

1½ Parts (45mL/ 1½ Fl Oz) Lyre's Dry London Spirit
½ Part (15mL/ ½ Fl Oz) Lyre's Absinthe
½ Part (15mL/ ½ Fl Oz) lime juice
½ Part (15mL/ ½ Fl Oz) white sugar syrup (1:1)
8 mint leaves

METHOD
  1. Shake briefly with ice, fine strain into a cocktail coupette
  2. Garnish with neat mint leaves
