Blackberry Smash Whiskey Mocktail garnished with blackberries and mint leaves next to a bottle of Lyre's American Malt

A summer delight for the whiskey-lovers, this mocktail is a twist on a classic warm-weather beverage, the Mint Julep. Bursting with flavours of fresh blackberries, mint and Lyre’s American Malt, a replacement for traditional American bourbon whiskey, this is one seriously good summer mocktail. For the best experience, serve over fresh ice and garnish with a plump mint sprig and blackberry on a skewer. It’s the perfect drink to enjoy after a long day.


2 Parts (60mL/2 Fl Oz) Lyre's American Malt
1/2 Part (15mL/ 1/2 Fl Oz) white sugar syrup (1:1)
1/2 Part (15mL/ 1/2 Fl Oz) lime juice
4 blackberries
8 mint leaves

  1. Muddle blackberries and mint with sugar syrup in shaker. Add all ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into an "old fashioned" glass over fresh ice
  2. Garnish with plump mint sprig, blackberry on skewer
