Lautus De-Alcoholised Savvy Red Wine

- Made in South Africa
- De-alcoholised Wine
- Low Sugar
- Low Calories
Made from a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinotage grapes sourced from various coastal vineyards, this red is aged in oak for 9 to 12 months, giving the final taste a subtle nod to oak amongst the pure red and blackberry fruit flavours. Fine tannin and juicy, delicate fruit underpin the elegant palate making this red a firm contender. And with only 2g of sugar per 100ml, and 12KCals per 100ml this red wine is low in sugar and low in calories.

One of the better NA reds, peppery and not sweet. Still looking for the holy grail, but this is good in the meantime.

I have tried many wines over the past 12 months in a desperate search for the perfect red. The Lautus Savvy Red is a stand out for me and the closest I’ve found to a smooth and delicious red wine. I have a glass or two most nights with a few squares of chocolate or some cheese and crackers. I would definitely recommend this wine!

My all time fave of NA reds or really, any red. Full bodied and so packed with flavours I am so happy that I discovered this.

Was not expecting to like a non alcoholic red to be honest. But I'm really enjoying this one! It is not too sweet, and has a nice 'red wine' mouth feel with a touch of tannin. I actually prefer this one chilled though, especially in the current hot humid weather.

4 months pregnant and only just getting over pregnancy nausea, so finally cracked open a long-awaited bottle of non-alc red that I bought a few months ago. Had high expectations and it did not disappoint one bit! Even before pouring it into the glass, the smell out of the bottle was 100% how I would expect a good alcoholic red wine to smell, a bit of oakiness to it. Even the colour was a lot darker than other non-alc reds I've seen. Aside from probably not being quite as rich and full-bodied as an alcoholic shiraz or earthy cab sav, it has such a nice smooth flavour, bit of body, not sweet at all in my opinion (and I'm definitely more of an earthy red drinker usually), and a bit of that lingering mouth feel of traditional reds. I drank it room temperature and really loved it, would highly recommend. I suppose it is slightly more expensive than some other brands, but considering I'm not drinking it every week, I'd rather pay a little more for a product that more closely resembles a true red.

I've been sampling a few.... and Lautus is the most flavoursome, with a satisfying mouthfeel via a pleasant tannin level, yet with less of that sweet edge/finish that some of the reds have. HIGHLY recommend! I'm getting a case now :)

Red wine was my crux and while researching non alc wine I came across an article about this wine where the women who had quit drinking and was sent this wine as a promotion. She said I spat it out as she thought she had been sent the alcohol version - I had to try it - yes it lived up to the hype ! Great with pizza!

After having tried three sparkling wines which we were very happy with, I was looking forward to trying a red. I struggled to get past the first mouthful due to its sweetness and slightly watery mouthfeel. I was disappointed with the weight of this red. It may suit people with a leaning towards sweet wines.

I enjoyed this wine and am buying it again. Its a little expensive and I would not say it is better than some of the cheaper wines, but it definitely gives me the wine experience.
